In the early 70’s through the early 80’s, Danny wrote a series of very personal acoustic songs that tell a story of what life was like trying to manage relationships and an up-and-coming music career. Using the magic of several AI generators, Danny’s brother, Ron Raines, recovered all of his early acoustic songs. These were songs that he believed would never be heard again. Although the acoustic songs were recorded on reel-to-reel tape that was over 45 years old, the AI generators recovered most of the early music. Ron manage to save over 40 songs that Danny wrote. As of 2025 there are four volumes finished. Note: A few songs were harder than others to bring back to life, but Ron included them because some were composed on Ron’s piano, where Danny’s reel-to-reel was placed to record. When Ron was twelve years old, Danny showed up while Ron was practicing, sat down and played these songs off the cuff. Ron said it was one of the greatest memories that he ever had of him and Danny.

Heres the first addition of Dannys early songs titled:

Danny Raines Acoustic Vol One

Danny Raines Vol Two

Danny Raines Vol Three

Danny Raines Vol Four

One of the most talented artist of the early 70s, Danny Raines’ career in the music business spanned years. He was signed by a major label before he was 18 years old. The music company shelved him for 5 years to keep him from competing with bands like Blood, Sweet, and Tears. At 23, he had another chance with Columbia Records with a band called “Boones Farm”. They later had changed the name to “MoonStone”. They had a 45 record out with side A including a song called “Trouble Up the Road”, which was played a lot on local music radio stations around Detroit (CKLW).

Columbia Records probably would have signed them but band member problems prevented that from happening. So MoonStone played in all the local clubs around Detroit. In the early 80’s, Danny got an opportunity to play bass guitar for the Jay Boy Adams Band, opening for many well-known commercially successful bands. After a few years, Danny went on to play with the Planets out of Lubbock Texas, where he remained for several years. I’ll have video’s and music up soon.
